About the client

Founded in 2020 by Vinny, 1000 Libraries is a global media brand dedicated to celebrating and preserving libraries and bookstores in the digital age.

What began as a viral Instagram account has since evolved into a worldwide community of over 1.6–1.7 million followers, spanning Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and a thriving email list of more than 100,000 subscribers.

The brand resonates deeply with book lovers through stories, visuals, and publications that remind people of the value of physical books and cultural spaces. Today, 1000 Libraries is powered by a distributed team of about 40, selling books and curated products directly to readers while expanding its global reach.

Behind the scenes

As 1000 Libraries grew, its digital setup couldn’t keep pace. The website and design work were pieced together using quick fixes — Canva templates, basic tools, and freelancers from Upwork and Fiverr. Without a structured development process, quality varied, communication lagged across time zones, and the brand’s digital foundation remained shaky.

These gaps became increasingly visible as the business scaled: weak usability, an inconsistent customer journey, fragmented branding, and inefficient development cycles with no clear ownership. The result was friction — both within the team and with customers — that ultimately held back further growth.

“We didn’t have a proper website or design process. Everything was done using templates and quick fixes… it became very inefficient.”

Why the client chose us

Vinny partnered with Paul and the Comerix team to bring structure, professionalism, and clarity to 1000 Libraries’ expanding digital ecosystem. From the very first collaboration, Paul introduced organized workflows, defined timelines, and consistent communication — backed by strong project management and a results-first mindset.

Just as importantly, the team connected with the brand’s mission and values, treating the project as more than a technical build — but as a way to strengthen the community behind it.

“For the first time, I worked with a team that truly understood what they were doing… it allowed me to focus on what I’m good at.”

Work process & solution

Comerix transformed 1000 Libraries’ digital presence with a focus on performance, usability, and scalability. The team introduced a structured development process, replacing ad-hoc freelancer workflows with a streamlined, professional system — complete with clear timelines, thorough testing, and predictable delivery cycles.

The website received a full UX overhaul:

  • improved navigation and product discovery,
  • a smoother customer journey for faster purchases,
  • and a custom sliding cart with built-in upsell functionality.

This dynamic cart increased average order value without compromising user experience.

On the optimization side, Comerix refined page layouts, flow, and interactions to drive conversions and keep visitors engaged.

Operationally, the rebuild gave 1000 Libraries the clarity and confidence to move away from micromanaging development, allowing the team to refocus on what they do best — creating content and products that inspire readers around the world.

Results

Strategic improvements delivered measurable business impact:

  • +20–30% increase in conversion rate
  • 10–20% of orders now include upsells
  • Significant improvement in user experience and navigation
  • Faster purchase flow and higher customer satisfaction
  • Operational efficiency through structured workflows

Beyond metrics, the biggest win was clarity and focus — allowing the founder to scale the business without being stuck in execution.

“The website is now easier to use, and customers have a much better experience… we’ve seen nearly a 30% increase in conversion rate.”

Plans for the future

With a solid digital foundation now in place, 1000 Libraries is ready to build on its momentum and continue growing worldwide. Upcoming plans include expanding its range of products and publications, scaling marketing efforts across multiple platforms, and further refining conversion and retention strategies.

Strengthening global community engagement remains a core focus — keeping the mission of celebrating libraries and bookstores alive.

Paul and Comerix continue to support the brand as a long-term partner, ensuring the platform evolves alongside its mission.
