In ecommerce, timing is most of the advantage.
When we noticed Punch Technology looking at Magento 2 support on our site, we did not wait for an enquiry form. Within 48 hours we had gone from an online signal to sitting in their office.
Why Not Just Wait for the Enquiry
Because the enquiry might never come, and because waiting is not neutral. It tells the other party that you are one of several options rather than someone who has already started thinking about their problem.
Genuine partnerships are not built over email chains. They are built on expertise and on turning up.
The Actual Situation
Punch Technology, based in Chester, had just acquired a Magento 2 store as part of their expansion. That is a specific and slightly dangerous moment, because acquisition brings three problems at once.
The platform needs stabilising after the handover, when nobody yet knows what was held together with tape. The site needs securing, because inherited code is inherited risk and customer data is on the line. And operations need optimising for the long run rather than the next quarter.
Anyone can email advice about that. It is close to useless, because the answers depend entirely on what you find when you open it up.
So We Went
Zach Wilson, Kyle Bloor and I got in the car and met their team. That session surfaced the real pain points, aligned everyone on a strategy, and set up a partnership on honest footing rather than an assumed one.
We do not just deliver support. We try to become part of how the problem gets solved, which is a different job. It is the same reason we keep visiting customers in person when everyone says it does not scale.
If your business needs security, performance work, or a tech partner who actually shows up, come and grab a coffee.
