About the client

CCO Menswear (ccomenswear.com, clothingconnectiononline.com, suitsforwholesale.com) is a 21-year-old Denver-based clothing wholesaler shipping across the US, handling ~2K monthly transactions even in the tough 2025 market.

Behind the scenes

Previous Magento agency overcharged for “small items,” struggled technically, then tried pushing Shopify exit — signaling Magento abandonment despite CCO’s 4K parent products/60K variants needing complex support.

“Our previous development… struggled with our website… charging us a lot… they wanted us to move to Shopify… raising the white flag. They simply didn’t want to work on Magento anymore.”

Why the client chose us

After 21 years in the clothing industry, Mike turned to trusted professional contacts who unanimously recommended Paul at Comerix, with one describing him as “your guy” for Magento sites after meeting him at a conference. What sealed the partnership was Paul’s extraordinary pre-commitment effort — he performed extensive helpful work (audits, analysis) before Mike had even fully signed on, a level of upfront investment “nobody really does.” This built instant trust compared to expensive agencies that charged first and figured things out later.

“Paul was incredibly helpful. He did a lot of pre-work… before I had even fully committed… Nobody really does that.”

Work process & solution

Comerix executed a flawless Magento migration starting in April 2025, with Paul personally involved daily — coordinating the old agency, old hosting provider, and securing optimal new hosting. The transition handed seamlessly to excellent project managers (two since inception), using Trello for workflow transparency, WhatsApp for emergencies (10-15 minute response), and phone for urgent needs.

The team proactively opens tickets on issues Mike hadn’t even noticed, delivers emergency fixes faster than US-based providers despite the time difference, and provides vendor recommendations that immediately cut costs—all without the “awkward figuring out” period typical of less experienced agencies.

“Paul was involved literally every day during the migration… worked with our old development company… handed over to a project manager… they proactively open tickets… emergency response within 10-15 minutes.”

Results

Within 8 months, Comerix delivered a minimum of $13K monthly savings: $10K on development fees, $700 on optimized hosting, $2K on site search vendor switch — plus unquantified gains from instant problem resolution and proactive maintenance.

No migration downtime, no wasted “figuring out” cycles, and Magento expertise that moves CCO faster than ever, even through 2025’s tough market conditions.

  • $10K/month dev savings
  • $2.7K/month hosting+search
  • 200K monthly visitors optimized

“On the development side, we’re saving about ten thousand dollars per month… hosting… seven hundred dollars… site search… two thousand dollars… bare minimum… thirteen thousand dollars a month.”

Plans for future

Mike calls the first 8 months with Comerix “outstanding” and enters 2026 optimistically as their exclusive Magento partner — first recommendation for any e-commerce business needing true platform expertise, cost control, and unwavering responsiveness regardless of time zone or holiday.

“These last eight months were outstanding… looking forward to 2026 with Paul and Comerix.”
